Dr. Sophia Reid
Dr. Sophia Reid is a dedicated and versatile board-certified dermatologist who specializes in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. Her clinical interests and competencies are comprehensive. They include the diagnosis and treatment of ethnic skin, alopecia, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and diagnosis and management of skin cancer.
Dr. Reid has performed countless skin surgeries for cancer as well as benign and cosmetic skin indications. She is well versed in multiple avenues of skin rejuvenation and aesthetics, including the use of fillers, neurotoxins, platelet-rich plasma, medical-grade chemical peels on all skin types, and laser surgery.
Education & Experience
Dr. Reid is a proud Washington, D.C. native and completed her undergraduate training at the University of Maryland, College Park, where she received her B.S in Kinesiological science and a minor in life sciences. She then went on to complete her medical school training at Georgetown University School of Medicine.
Her medical internship year was completed at the University of California Irvine. She completed her dermatology residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York. She is an active fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and Skin of Color Society where she sits on the mentorship and membership committees. Dr. Reid's passion for healthy vibrant skin is parallel with her enthusiasm for health, fitness, and travel. Finding the next great adventure is always on her agenda.
